Company activities and impact

How Our Tamil Language School Benefited the Community This Financial Year During this financial year, our Tamil language school has made a meaningful contribution to the community by supporting children’s cultural learning, strengthening family connections, and creating a strong community network. 1. Strengthening Cultural Connection and Communication Our programs enabled children to learn and enjoy the Tamil language in an engaging and supportive environment. As their skills improved, students became more confident communicating in Tamil with community members, including grandparents and extended family in Sri Lanka. This strengthened intergenerational relationships and preserved cultural heritage. 2. Enhancing Social Skills and Community Participation Children had regular opportunities to socialise, collaborate, and participate in cultural events and competitions. These experiences helped them develop teamwork, discipline, and a sense of belonging, while also giving them opportunities to celebrate their talents and achievements. 3. Building Confidence and Personal Development By learning the language and taking part in various activities, students developed public speaking, creativity, and self-expression skills. These experiences helped build their confidence both within the school environment and in the broader community. 4. Supporting Parent Engagement and Community Relationships Our school also played a key role in bringing parents together. Through school events, volunteer activities, and shared cultural celebrations, parents had meaningful opportunities to connect, support one another, and build strong community relationships. This sense of unity has strengthened our school community and created a supportive network for families.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company's stakeholders are the local Tamil community. The directors of the company lived in the same city for number of years and developed this idea of teaching the mother tongue to the upcoming generations. We ask everyone who attending the school, on how to improve and we implement the necessary changes each time after discussion.
