During this financial year, AspireHer Consultancy CIC delivered a range of programmes and activities designed to empower women, particularly women of colour and those at early to mid-senior levels in the technology sector, to advance confidently in their careers and leadership journeys. Our work focused on reducing barriers to access, increasing representation in tech, and improving the overall well-being and professional growth of the women we serve. We provided mentoring, skills development workshops, and community-building opportunities that supported participants in developing leadership mindsets, technical capability, and self-confidence. Through these activities, we created safe, inclusive spaces where women could learn, share experiences, and receive guidance tailored to their professional aspirations. Our initiatives have contributed to improved career readiness, stronger support networks, and enhanced mental well-being for participants. Feedback from the community shows that our programmes helped women gain clarity in their career paths, build resilience, and feel more empowered to pursue leadership roles in the tech industry. As a social enterprise, our efforts this year have directly supported our mission of advancing equity, opportunity, and representation for women in technology and beyond.
Throughout the year, AspireHer Consultancy CIC actively engaged with key local stakeholders, including Bolton CVS and Bolton Proper Good, to ensure our programmes remained aligned with community needs. Through regular conversations, check-ins, and participation in local support networks, we gathered valuable feedback on how our services could better support women in Bolton, particularly those seeking pathways into technology and leadership. Stakeholders highlighted the importance of strengthening our community engagement within the borough. In response, we increased our local outreach efforts by hosting and attending more meetups in Bolton, building relationships with community groups, and participating in local networking events to raise awareness of our programmes. Additionally, we joined the Bolton Proper Good Business Mentoring Programme, allowing us to receive tailored guidance on strengthening our impact, building sustainable operations, and connecting with the wider business and voluntary sectors in Bolton. This feedback and support have shaped our ongoing commitment to delivering accessible, community-centred opportunities for women in the area.
