COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

Company Number: 15585321 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 March 2025

Company activities and impact

During the year, Outside the Box – Creative Thinking Space CIC delivered a range of creative and wellbeing sessions designed to promote self-expression, social connection, and emotional wellbeing. We ran inclusive workshops combining art, movement, and storytelling for women. Project such as Her Creative-tea and Female Inspirations encouraged creative expression and confidence-building for women. Our focus has been to create a welcoming, accessible space where creativity supports personal and community growth. Our sessions have helped participants feel more connected, confident, and supported. People have reported improved mood, reduced isolation, and greater motivation to take part in local community life. Our projects have fostered friendships, new creative collaborations, and a stronger sense of belonging.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders include community members who take part in our creative and wellbeing workshops, local partner organisations such as community centres and schools, volunteers, and our creative practitioners. We also engage with local residents and groups who share our aim of improving wellbeing and social connection through creativity. We regularly gather feedback through end-of-session reflections, short evaluation forms, and informal conversations. We also stay connected through social media and community events, giving participants opportunities to share ideas and help shape future workshops and projects. Participants told us they feel more relaxed, inspired, and confident after our sessions. They appreciate the inclusive and friendly atmosphere and have requested more regular creative wellbeing sessions and collaborations. In response, we have reached out for support from funders to expand the pilot project that have shown strong community impact, such as Female Inspirations. This initiative explores self-expression, identity, and wellbeing.
