We run a Community fridge, collecting surplus food from local businesses and supermarkets, we are then open twice a week. The fridge is open to all as it helps to reduce food waste but also benefits people that may be struggling financially to access fresh food. We hold older peoples Tea parties twice a month, guests enjoy lunch and a chance to socialise, this benefits them by helping to reduce isolation. We run a transport project, taking older people to medical appointments. We are based in a rural area, public transport isn't great and taxis are expensive. This project benefits people by giving them a safe reliable way of getting to essential appointments which in turn helps them to stay well. Each month we hold a community meal, guests enjoy a two-course hot meal and enjoy socialising, the meals help to reduce isolation and ensure people have a healthy filling warm meal.
The stakeholders are Local people, older people, Local Council, families, GP’s, Health Trust, Social Services, Parish Church and volunteers. Before starting any projects, we always consult with everyone listed. We ask for their opinions and ideas and once projects are running we ask for feedback to see what is going well and what can be improved.
The total amount paid to directors in respect of qualifying services was £29435.76. There were no other payments made.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
