The principal activity of the company, MSK Aware CIC, is to support employers, employees and the public to take a holistic approach to musculoskeletal health and what can be done to prevent loss of function and work loss by assessing the challenges including within a workplace and by providing training and materials to support MSK health and best practices. We have worked with Public Health England, Health and Safety Executive and Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents to identify what is a safe and healthy workplace that supports MSK health. We have disseminated this through events, webinars, our website and social media. We are working with the Society of Occupational Medicine to disseminate our recommendations. We have presented these at the national Health and Wellbeing at Work Conference. We are working with employers to identify how they can be best helped to support the MSK health of their employers. We are now working more widely not just in our region but nationally and internationally to benefit a wider community. In particular, we are developing a program in Tanzania where we are adapting our content to meet local needs. This work is improving musculoskeletal health in the community by creating a more proactive approach both within the community and workplaces. This is demonstrated by the requests we have for offering webinars or presentations.
Our work continues to be based on co-production with the target stakeholders (public, employees, employers, experts) who are engaged from the start through focus groups and / or surveys.
