Thrive Outside CIC has run regular outdoor woodwork and craft sessions in Homestead Park York. There have been free sessions every friday for all members of the community but specifically targeting those that may be isolated and experiencing physical and/or emotion well being issues, we reached over 100 people. We continue a session specifically for women, one for people 50+ which were well attended.. In addition we ran family sessions throughout the year. People gained a great deal from the activities, being in nature and meeting others in their community. We continue to link with organisations such as Mind, social prescribers, local area coordinators and nature based organizations we continue to work on intergenerational sessions. The stakeholders (in the community) have contributed to the development of our work. We will have offered a range of green crafts weaving, tradition corn dolly making, nettle and other fiber cordage. We have developed links with the university of York St John and 10 students have participated in placements, enhancing the intergenerational nature of our offer as well as work experience for students. We worked in the North Yorkshire Area in partnership with Better Connect. This will support adults experiencing mental health issues who are struggling in work or out of work. We have been approached to work with York university and have developed improved partnership with Homestead park
No consultation with stakeholders
