Ashford Sport CIC provides a free service to promote local sports clubs and activities to benefit the local community within the district of Ashford, Kent. By promoting news, achievements and opportunities of sport across the borough, it provides not only free promotion for clubs to act as a marketing tool for clubs, but also encourages a healthy & active lifestyle for the 120,000+ residents who we target. During the financial year of 2024/2025, we benefited the community in the following ways: - We worked with a local organisation to help reach out to talented sports people in Ashford to provide them with bursaries to go towards their progression within their respective sport. - Our average monthly digital views went from around 500,000 to 900,000 across all platforms, meaning we were reaching more people on a regular basis to spread positive news stories and encourage more engagement with clubs. - We built strong relationships with clubs to set a good foundation to support them further in years to come. - To understand the needs of local sportspeople and clubs, we regularly met with volunteers and the sportspeople themselves to find out what can be done locally to have a bigger impact on sport & fitness across Ashford. - After securing our very first grant, we started the build of our website which will eventually become our central hub platform and have our biggest positive impact on the community to date.
Ashford Sport CIC regularly consults with stakeholders about ways we can have a better impact with what we do. - Our social media platforms have subscribers who pay to support us, we put out messages to our subscribers to gain feedback on what we do. We put out a more personalised message to the subscribers as a recognition and thanks for supporting us financially and that we really take their feedback into consideration as a monetised stakeholder. - We have regular discussions with our funding trust who support us in what we do and want to see Ashford Sport CIC grow. - We've joined a charity as a member who assist with business mentoring and they provide great advice on the business model, development strategies and finance plans. - Our largest stakeholder group is our digital audience who we have correspondence with on a daily basis, and we always get regular feedback whether it's positive or constructive, it's always welcomed.
