The Accessible resource lending library has provided accessible toys, communication equipment and access equipment to Therapy teams that support children, young people and adults who have disability in the county of Kent. The loan of this equipment has enabled Therapists (Speech and Language and Occupational) to help those in society who have communication and physical access needs. Switch toys from the Library enable children who have disability to engage with play and developmental activities that they would other wise not be able to access. The library continues to be a valuable link in the chain, helping to enable people with disability to reach their potential.
The Library has re engaged with key stakeholders: Ashford, Canterbury and Coastal locality, Community Adult Learning Disability Team, Kent Community Health Foundation Trust. and..
