Erena community sports club runs sports programs to provide a structured and professionally delivered experience for its members year-round. It is also actively engaged in fostering a sense of community by supporting newly arriving individuals and those of eastern African descent in South London, and helps them integrate successfully into British society. The club uses sport and other projects to encourage unity, celebrate diversity, and empower people. Its key activities include: 1. Providing sports programs for all skill levels. 2. Building a vibrant, inclusive community. 3. Supporting the integration of new arrivals and individuals of eastern African descent in South London. Erena's impact is centred on its use of sport as a tool for positive social transformation: 1. Promotes successful integration into British society by helping individuals and new arrivals overcome settlement obstacles. 2. Fosters a harmonious and supportive environment where everyone can thrive. 3. Empowers individuals to become proud and productive citizens. 4. Provides vital services within the South London community.
During the reporting period, Erena community sports club actively engaged with its key stakeholders, players, parents, coaches, volunteers, and members of the local community to gauge the impact of its services. 1. Consultation Methods: Feedback was gathered through various channels, including general meetings, annual general meetings (AGMs), and ongoing informal conversations. 2. Feedback & Impact: The consultation confirmed that our community is highly satisfied with the programs offered and is thriving through their engagement with the club. Stakeholders ex-pressed appreciation for the positive and inclusive environment the club fosters. 3. Action Taken: The club has effectively utilised recent funding to directly address community needs, ensuring that the exact services required by our members are being provided and main-tained to a professional standard. The feedback has validated our current direction and rein-forced the community-centric focus of our operations.
