CHILDREN IN SCOTLAND LTD

Directors' report period ended 31 March 2025

The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 March 2025

Principal activities of the company

Children in Scotland is a membership organisation, bringing together those working with and for babies, children and young people across Scotland to contribute to a Scotland that is better for these babies, children and young people. At the core sits a vibrant membership and the children and young people we work with. We then connect with a much wider network in order to support, learn, inform and improve policy and practice. Our relationships, alongside our broad knowledge and experience, allow us to offer trusted support and work for meaningful and lasting change. We have a particular focus on additional support for learning, and deliver quality services that provide practical support, information and advice. We have six key areas that we focus on: Making sure that children and young people’s views will be listened to, taken seriously and acted upon. Delivering quality services that support children, young people, parents, carers and professionals. Maintaining and building on a strong and effective network with a vibrant membership at its core. Leading and developing the children’s sector workforce. Influencing policymakers to deliver on our Manifesto priorities. Being an environmentally and financially sustainable organisation.

Political and charitable donations

Our Trustee Annual Report is very transparent about our activity during the year. We have no political donations, and a very small amount of charitable donations.
