At Ten for Zen our mission is to make mindfulness simple, practical, and accessible for everyone. We believe mindfulness has the power to improve health, wellbeing, and resilience, and we are committed to sharing it in our community in ways that people can easily fit into everyday life. Our core purpose remains to support those in our community who need it most - those recovering from substance misuse, individuals engaged with restorative justice services, and people living with long-term health conditions. These groups often face high levels of stress, isolation, and barriers to recovery, and mindfulness offers practical tools to help manage challenges and build confidence. We work with local community organisations and charities to embed mindfulness into their wider support systems. Key activities this year included our most popular community face to face courses - Calm Cafe and Journaling for Wellbeing. In addition to the above we partnered with local councils, healthcare providers, and national initiatives such as Mental Health Awareness Week to provide workshops, mindful walks, and talks promoting mental wellbeing to the wider community. We also continue to offer our free weekly mindfulness class in our home community of Hamilton. This class remains very popular. Future Plans Looking ahead, we will: - Continue to work closely with community partners to tailor programmes for our key target groups. - Develop additional online materials to reach people unable to attend in person especially those living with long term conditions. - Strengthen our partnerships with community and statutory organisations to embed mindfulness support into their ongoing services.
Consultation with Stakeholders We maintain an active dialogue with our community through: - A Facebook group with over 3,000 followers. - A mailing list of more than 8,000 people interested in mindfulness and wellbeing. - Surveys, feedback forms, and post-programme evaluations to refine and improve our courses. - Ongoing consultation with partner organisations to assess impact and ensure our support is meeting the needs of their communities. This consultation helps us understand what works and what needs to change. For example, people living with long-term health conditions told us that travel was a barrier, so we introduced online sessions. Participants in recovery groups asked for shorter, more frequent practices, which led us to create “ten-minute mindfulness” sessions. We also adapt our language and resources based on what participants find most relatable. By turning feedback into action, we ensure our programmes stay accessible, relevant, and genuinely supportive.
Directors' Remuneration The total remuneration paid or receivable by directors for qualifying services was £14,699. No other transactions or arrangements relating to directors' remuneration or compensation for loss of office require disclosure.
