  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods have transferred to the buyer. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs.

Company activities and impact

NOUYou CIC is a wellness company which focuses on supporting individuals with their own health and wellbeing needs. We do this though focusing on mind, body, and soul. NouYou offers a variety of services which include the running of 3 Holistic therapy courses each 6 weeks long free of charge. These are for clients dealing with cancer, bereavement and mums struggling with mental health issues. In the last 12 months we have run 9 courses reaching 62 people who we have helped rebuild their lives. Earlier in the year we were delighted to add an addition to the space of a wellness healthy cafe. We now have additional services such as running free workshops around food, cookery, budgeting, energy saving, community groups, free meals days, community sessions, mental health support, and holistic therapies such as yoga, sound healing, singing, meditation and other wellness activities
