During the financial year, Compass Social CIC delivered mentoring, employability support, and early-intervention services to young people aged 15-16 and care leavers 16+. Our activities were designed to reduce disengagement from education, improve emotional wellbeing, and support positive progression into training and employment. Through our programmes, we have: Provided structured mentoring that improved young people’s confidence, resilience, and motivation. Supported young people at risk of social isolation or exploitation by offering consistent guidance, positive activities, and trusted relationships. Delivered employability workshops that strengthened participants’ job-readiness, including CV development, interview preparation, and workplace skills. Worked with families, schools, and community organisations to provide early support that reduces pressure on statutory services. Enabled young people to re-engage with education or take steps towards further learning, apprenticeships, or employment. Overall, Compass Social CIC has delivered clear public benefit by improving outcomes for vulnerable young people, increasing their safety and wellbeing, and contributing positively to the wider community.
Has there been a consultation with stakeholders? Yes. During the financial year, Compass Social CIC consulted with a range of stakeholders who have an interest in the organisation’s activities and outcomes. Who the stakeholders are Our key stakeholders include: Young people who use our services Parents and carers Schools and alternative provisions Local authority teams (Early Help, Social Care, Youth Offending) Community partners and organisations we collaborate with Mentors, facilitators, and sessional staff How stakeholders have been consulted Stakeholders were consulted through: Regular progress meetings with schools and local authorities Feedback forms completed by young people and parents Informal check-ins during mentoring and employability sessions Partnership meetings with community organisations Staff reflective sessions and supervision Review discussions held at the end of programmes Actions taken in response to stakeholder feedback Compass Social CIC has: Expanded its employability offer to include additional mock interviews and career insight sessions, following requests from schools and young people. Adjusted mentoring session structures to include more wellbeing check-ins, based on feedback from parents and professionals. Strengthened communication processes by providing more consistent updates to schools and social workers. Introduced additional activities and community engagement opportunities based on young people’s interests.
