  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales tax.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. Plant and machinery etc - 20% on cost.

Company activities and impact

The Company provides after school educational and science clubs for primary school age children who have an interest in science, maths and technology. The Company has, during the period ended 31 August 2025 benefited the local community in the following ways:- The Company provides employment for local undergraduates who otherwise may not be able to find employment. Provided local children with hands on approach to science and education they many not have access to through their local primary school. Provide local children with expert knowledge in the fields of science they otherwise might not have access to through their teachers.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders include primary schools, their pupils, parents and our staff. During 24/25 we contacted every school that we worked in to gather feedback on their satisfaction and ideas for improving our services. We also speak to groups of schools and local education authorities on a regular basis. The Company aims to provide advancement and inspiration to pupils in community services, education and science and create exciting and educational experiences for pupils in the community. As a result of feedback from the schools we devised science themed after-school learning. We have also provided Zoom sessions where we have not been able to visit schools in person. We have consulted our staff and one of the ways that we have responded to this is to develop e-learning resources to support continuing professional development for our staff. The Stakeholders have been very appreciative of the service provided and benefit to the community.
