Up-Grade Martial Arts CIC is proud to have been a positive force in our community, not only by promoting the physical and mental benefits of martial arts but also by fostering a strong sense of unity and shared purpose among its members. The company operates a martial arts training centre with a strong focus on promoting and teaching various forms of martial arts. It commenced its operations in November 2021. Throughout the fiscal year 2023-2024, The company has significantly contributed to the community in the following ways: Accessibility for Local Residents: The centre has made martial arts training accessible to residents, including those without access to private transportation and individuals with mobility challenges. This has enabled them to participate in physical fitness and self-defence programs within the community, enhancing their overall well-being. Employment Opportunities: The company has created employment opportunities for residents, contributing to the local job market. Support for Local Instructors: The company has collaborated with instructors, giving them the platform to share their expertise and teach various martial arts disciplines to a broader audience. This collaboration has helped instructors who may not have had access to larger teaching platforms. Community Fitness and Well-Being: The centre has played a crucial role in promoting physical fitness, discipline, and self-confidence among community members, offering training for individuals of all ages and skill levels. Enriching the Local Culture: By offering a variety of martial arts programs, The company has added new dimension to cultural diversity, allowing residents to engage in traditional and contemporary martial arts practices.
The company's key stakeholders comprise the local residents, as well as visitors, and local producers of food and beverages in the nearby region. The company's directors have established deep roots having been long-time residents themselves. The business model for the shop was developed based on their extensive interactions with other residents within the community. To better understand the unique needs and preferences of our local consumers, we have introduced a brief questionnaire for first-time shoppers. This valuable feedback mechanism has allowed us to construct a comprehensive profile of the shopping habits of residents in the area. Our research has shed light on specific demographics within the community with limited or no access to private transportation, as well as residents with impaired mobility.
