In the period April 2024-March 2025, the nappy library has continued to hire nappy kits across East Essex. We have volunteers in Clacton, Colchester, Tendring, Burnham and South Woodham Ferrers. The nappy library held social meets in Burnham and South Woodham Ferrers where we discussed cloth nappies and how the library works. Essex County Council report that the number of cloth nappy incentive claimants have increased as a result of the nappy library activity. This means that landfill is reduced, which impacts the cost to councils.
Our stakeholders are parents in the local area who hire nappy kits from the library. We consult with parents after they have hired kits, asking them to fill in a feedback form. This helps us to determine the most useful content of our kits and how we can help them in their cloth journey. We also get continuing feedback through our facebook group and at social meets.
