3 Get on Board is a company which promotes the inclusion and rights of people with learning disabilities. The company was formed in 2018 to take over the work previously delivered by The Learning Disability Partnership Board in Northamptonshire, after the board was closed as part of the local council cuts. The company involves adults with learning disabilities who work with local organisations, businesses and services to ensure they are fully inclusive of people with learning disabilities. As set out in our report last year it was decided to close the company. That process is almost complete. The residual balance of £1,600 has been paid distributed as detailed under the ‘Transfer of assets’ note later in this report. The company has notified HMRC that the organisation has stopped trading. The company will seek dissolution at Companies House in due course.
There was no consultation with stakeholders during the year as the decision to close the company was taken by the stakeholders and directors last year.
The accounts show payments for work delivered by the Directors – Carol Coe, Dawn Line and Luisa Jepson. This includes hours worked and any expenses incurred, such as mileage and equipment.
The Company applied £1,600 of its funds for community benefit by transferring this amount to Oundle Mencap Holidays Limited (charity registration number 1108908 and company registration number 5393382), which will use the funds to further activities aligned with the Company’s community purpose. This transfer was made in accordance with the asset-lock provisions and the Company's governing documents.
