Company activities and impact

During the financial year ending 31 March 2025, Pentre Farm CIC delivered a wide range of community-focused activities designed to improve wellbeing, increase access to nature, and create inclusive opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Activities included mobile pop-up farm visits, animal-assisted interaction sessions, SEND-focused sessions for children and young people, visits to care homes to promote intergenerational connection, supported volunteering programmes, development of our sensory garden and orchard, and ongoing community engagement events. These activities offered hands-on involvement with animals and nature, supported personal development, and provided meaningful participation for those with additional needs. The work of the CIC benefited the wider community including families, local residents, care home residents, school groups, volunteers, and young people with SEND. The sessions promoted confidence, social skills, wellbeing, and community cohesion. Overall, Pentre Farm CIC has continued to provide valuable, inclusive, and accessible opportunities that positively support the local community.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our key stakeholders include local residents, families, volunteers, staff, schools, and care homes. Consultation took place throughout the year through surveys, conversations during sessions, direct feedback, and engagement via social media platforms. Feedback helped shape session delivery, improve accessibility, and tailor activities to meet the needs and preferences of those attending. Where possible, suggestions were acted upon to improve service quality and community benefit.
