Company activities and impact

During the year, Bradford Active Dance (B.A.D) delivered a range of community focused classes which were designed to increase access to dance, fitness and positively impact local families. We provide weekly dance sessions in community hubs across Bradford, ensuring affordable, inclusive opportunities for children and young people. We collaborated with local schools to deliver both curriculum-based dance sessions during the school day and extra-curricular activities such as after school dance clubs that supported physical activity, creativity and wellbeing. B.A.D showcased participants' achievements through two community dance performances. One in the Summer and another in Winter. These showcases celebrated the progress and confidence developed throughout the year. Additionally, we performed at Race for Life at Lister Park in Bradford, offering young dancers a high-profile platform to engage with a wider audience and contribute to a meaningful community event. Together, across the financial year B.A.D strengthened community cohesion, improved young people's physical and emotional wellbeing, expanded access to enriching cultural experiences as well as making new friendships and relationships.
