The Onu Foundation C.I.C. was set up to empower young people through targeted, real world work experience, mentorship and training.Working with Northwest Associates Accountants, the foundation normally provides transformative internships for young people from socially deprived backgrounds in Haringey, with the aim of reducing youth unemployment. However, during this financial year we were unable to secure the funding needed to run any internship cohorts. As a result, no new internships were delivered and there was no direct community impact to report. Our focus instead has been on maintaining relationships with local schools and community partners, gathering feedback from past participants, and pursuing funding opportunities so that we can restart our programmes and continue helping young people once resources are available.
