2 Guarantees and other financial commitments
During the prior financial year, the company received a donation of €50,000 from a third party. The funds were provided for the specific purpose of supporting the restoration of a building.
At the time of receipt, which fell within the financial period ended 31 March 2024, the company had not yet undertaken any related expenditure. Accordingly, the contractual amount to restore the building was recognised as accrued expenditure in order to match the income with the related costs, in line with the accruals concept and to reflect the intended use of the funds.
In the current financial year ended 31 March 2025, the company utilised €40,000 to make donations towards the restoration project, consistent with the original purpose of the funding. The accrued expenditure has therefore been partially released during the year.
Subsequent to the year end, the company obtained charitable status, and future financial statements will be prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) framework.

For the year ending 31 March 2025 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies. The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the micro-entity provisions of the Companies Act 2006 and FRS 105, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable to the Micro-entities Regime. The accounts have been delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime. The profit and loss account has not been delivered to the Registrar of Companies.
