1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover
Turnover represents service charges receivable from lessees during the year.

9. MANAGEMENT FEES

The Directors have identified inconsistencies between the fees charged in the past to the Company by the former Managing Agent and the amounts due to them under the terms of the underlying contractual arrangements. The matter has been referred to the Managing Agent for explanation, but to date no satisfactory response has been received or resolution agreed. Further, the Directors have identified a gross error in the management fee charged for 2021/2022 by the former agents.

10. MAJOR WORKS EXPENDITURE

External works were completed during the year ended 31 March 2024, during which all the wooden windows and some UPVC windows installed by leaseholders, were replaced. This was decided by Aland Court Management Company Limited following an inspection by their surveyor. A 2.5% retention fee of £19,048 is due to be paid in the year ended 31 March 2026, once the snagging works have been completed, and this amount has been included within creditors in these financial statements.
