This company works with youth organisations and charities to teach young people analogue photographic practices. This company started working in June 2024. During the financial year of 2024 - 2025 this company benefited the community in the following ways. Different Gravy Studio CIC has worked with 10 youth providers across London and has supported hundreds of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. In the Summer of 2024, this company worked with a youth charity called Young Camden Foundation to deliver creative workshops for the children and made a film to show the importance of youth work. This project delivered free workshops to over 100 young people. This company also worked and volunteered regularly at a youth club called ARC from 2024 to 2025. Different Gravy Studio CIC worked on a long-term project with the youth club, teaching the young people how to use medium format and Super 8 cameras to document their community. We used the TRA hall in the estate to exhibit the young people's photographs, and projected a film they made. The Mayor of Camden attended and praised the young participants. This project delivered free workshops and supported over 30 young people. This company also worked in collaboration with South London Gallery to teach photography skills to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in Southwark. This project delivered free workshops to over 30 people.
This companies stakeholders are the charities and community groups that we work with and deliver workshops for and the residents and local people who participate. Before under taking any project we always meet with the community youth leaders and representatives from organisations to find out how our workshops can best serve the community and provide the educational needs to the young people we reach. We make sure parents and guardians are always consulted whenever we are working in the community and give out consent consent forms for all of our participants.
