    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Revenue from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs. Turnover is only recognised to the extent of recoverable expenses when the outcome of a contract cannot be estimated reliably.

Company activities and impact

CRAICNI: General Account of Activities CRAICNI is an award-winning social enterprise and registered Community Interest Company (CIC) established in May 2015 (Company Number NI631525). The organisation is dedicated to fostering inclusion and diversity across communities in Northern Ireland, the wider island of Ireland, and Europe. Core Principles and Offerings: Mission & Vision: To "Cultivate Respect, Appreciate Inclusion Across Cultures" (CRAICNI) and promote a tolerant society via education and training. Unique Approach: Programs are designed and delivered by experienced practitioners from over 15 different cultural backgrounds, many of whom have first-hand experience of migration to Northern Ireland, ensuring an authentic understanding of cultural diversity. Service Delivery: Provides tailor-made learning experiences focused on integration, cohesion, and inclusive action. Geographic Reach & Partnerships: Operates locally in Northern Ireland and internationally, having led a European project with partners in Italy, Turkey, Greece, and Scotland. Staff and board members are based in locations including Denmark, France, India, and Hong Kong. Advocacy: Actively supports diversity initiatives, participates in policy development, and engages with forums such as the All-Island Women’s Forum and Shared Island DfA initiatives. Feedback loops are integral to quality assurance, with evaluation reports reviewed across all teams to inform future direction. Actionable steps derived from this input are significant: they drive the development of the following year's strategic planning and lead to tangible service enhancements, such as the new provision of online, hybrid, and in-person DEI training.
