FEDERATION OF FAMILY PRACTICES MID ULSTER C.I.C.

Company Number: NI639091 (Northern Ireland)

Year Ending: 31 March 2025

Company activities and impact

The Federation of Family Practices Mid Ulster C.I.C. has completed its ninth year of activity. The Federation represents 11 GP practices in the Mid Ulster area, serving a combined population of around 81,500 patients. The organisation exists to support general practice, help develop local services, and improve patient care within the community. During the year, the Federation continued to deliver SPPG-funded services across the area. These included General Practice Pharmacy services, Advanced Nurse Practitioner support, and Practice Based Learning. Funding supported approximately 17 practice pharmacists, 4 advanced nurse practitioners, 2 trainee ANPs, and one lead nurse working across member practices. These services helped practices manage increasing demand, improve access, and support safe prescribing. Patients benefited from improved medicines management, faster clinical assessment where appropriate, and support for long-term conditions in a primary care setting. The Practice Based Learning work strengthened skills and confidence among practice staff, supporting safe and consistent patient care. The Federation continues to work in partnership with the Strategic Planning and Performance Group to maintain these services. While there are no confirmed new developments at this time, the Federation remains focused on supporting general practice in Mid Ulster and improving outcomes for patients in the community.
