Funding is provided to carry out specific projects within the local geographical area occupied by the members of the Federation. The Board of Directors have a duty to ensure that all funding is used principally for the benefit of the community. COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

FEDERATION OF FAMILY PRACTICES ANTRIM & BALLYMENA C.I.C.

Company Number: NI639373 (Northern Ireland)

Year Ending: 31 March 2025

Company activities and impact

During the year, the Federation delivered several programmes funded by the Strategic Planning and Performance Group. These included General Practice Nursing support, Practice Based Learning, and General Practice Pharmacy. These services provided direct clinical input, supported safer prescribing, and offered regular learning opportunities that helped practice staff maintain skills and confidence. The funding enabled practices to draw on additional nursing and pharmacy expertise at a time when demand on general practice continued to rise. Patients benefited through more timely clinical assessment, better medicines management, and improved support for long-term conditions. The learning programme also helped ensure that care remained consistent across the area. There were no changes in governance during the year. The Federation continued to work in partnership with the Strategic Planning and Performance Group to maintain and deliver these services. While there are no confirmed new developments at present, the organisation remains focused on supporting practices in Antrim and Ballymena and improving outcomes for the local population.

The stakeholders are the members and their associated general practice surgeries. They hold regular board meetings where the members are informed of all activities and will be consulted on other matters before any major decision has been made.
