COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

ADAMAS HOUSE CIC

Company Number: 14529901 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 March 2025

Company activities and impact

Adamas House CIC - Is an Ofsted Registered Young Persons Home, working with Children and Young people in the County of Gloucestershire. In July 2024 after 2 years of Registration Process the home was granted its registration and took on its first placement in September 2024. In October 2024 the home welcolmed its second placemnet. The home has worked closely with the Local Authority, Education and the families of the young people. Since moving in the 2 placemnets have made positive life choices to improve their health and education, and are working towards GCSE's in May 2025. The Home increased its employment in the Local area and now employs 9 full time people from the Local area. The end of the fiancial year coincides with the Ofsted Inspection window and an inspecytion is expected early in the next finacial year. Subject to a sucessfull Inspection, the home plans to apply for a change in registration to allow for more placements to reside in the home. This will allow the local authority to place children from the County in the County, reducing the need for out of County Placements. Offering additional placements in County where family relationships are safe, greatly improves the chances of sucessful reintergration with Bith or Foster Families. This is in line with the Home and CIC's Statement of Purpose.

Consultation with stakeholders

As a residential home, there are a number of Stakeholders. Primarily the stakeholders are the residents of the home, regulay sessions are held with the young people to get their individual feedback. This is in person and by way of a QR Code led survey that they can submit without being idetified. They also have access to outside consultation with Social Workers and Education Providers. All ideas, suggestions and concerns are listened too, and where appropriate they are implimented. In the case of concerns the home takes an active role in listening and working to alliviate concerns. Sometimes this is a case of making sure a situation has been explained and the young person consulted. The local authority make regular visits to the Home to meet with the young people and the Registerd Manager. These consultations are to discuss the progress of the Young People and to ensure the Local Authrity has its voice heard and that the Home meets thier expectations. Regular supervisions take place with the staff, this allows them to give across their views, discuss progress and make suggestions to that they feel may help and improve the lives of the Young People. This can be suggestions of activities and interests that the Young People have shared as they are the trusted Adults they have regular contact with. Education providers are reguly consulted. When and where appropriate the families and Guardians of the Young People have access to the QR Statkeholder Surveys. These relationships have been very positive and have helped to improve the trust of the Young People showing that the peopel ariund them can work together.
