We have put on a number of classes in the community using somatic interventions as well as providing 1:1 support sessions. We are still assessing the best way to provide the most impact for the community.
We have engaged with a number of stakeholders, including parents of children with special needs at New Brighton Primary School, adoption parents via a local adoption group, Together 2 Thrive and Adoption in Merseyside. We pitched at a local community event, Wirral Soup, to raise awareness of our services. As a result of these consultations we will be providing a 10 week programme of support for adoptive parents in the next calendar year.
