During the financial year ending 2024, Plumwood Music1 CIC participated and delivered a range of music production and live performance activities designed to support community engagement, cultural expression, and opportunities for local creatives. The company recorded Christmas singles, working collaboratively with local musicians, vocalists, and music producers. This activity provided developmental opportunities for emerging and established creatives, supporting skills development, collaboration, and creative visibility within the local music ecosystem. In addition, Plumwood Music1 CIC participated in and delivered featured live performances in collaboration with the Windrush Choir in Birmingham. These performances took place at numerous community, cultural, and celebratory events across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. The performances celebrated Black British heritage, promoted intergenerational participation, and strengthened community cohesion through shared cultural experiences. The company also participated in a two-day programme of live performances at the Afro Hair & Beauty Live Show 2024, held in Angel, Islington, London.
