PART 1 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES AND IMPACT In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. Lucy’s Place CIC is a Health and Wellbeing service that aims to offer a range of evidence based psychological therapies in conjunction with a range of community wellbeing meets in the outdoors. One of the key benefits to the community during the financial year ending 31st March 2025 was securing a second grant of charitable funding for the complimentary community wellbeing meets in the outdoors. These are free to access for anyone that wishes to improve their health and wellbeing. Charitable funding routes were explored and the CIC successful secured funding totalling £1200 from Garvald and Morham Community Council. These community wellbeing meets ran in the summer of 2024 and winter of 2025, They included local community partnerships for art in the outdorrs with Jess Beales art therapist, watersports delivered by local partner “Whiteadder Watersports Trust,” hill walks delivered by partners “Wild Caledonia” and Mindfulness walks delivered in partnership with Joyce Lukkes Mindfulness. We ran a total of ten events in the 2024/2025 reporting period and forty five people booked into the event. Unfortunately only twenty felt able to attend which in part may be due to the nature of this client groups difficulties. We however always looking for ways to encourage participants engagement. These activities continue to be offered free to anyone in the community wishing to enhance their wellbeing and this year we began advertising through Eventbrite and offering transport to those that required it. During the reporting period psychological therapy clinics were run on Monday and Fridays at Fairbairn House, Haddington. This base offers greater partnership working with local therapist in the area. It also crucially provides the opportunity to offer clients face to face psychological therapy as an alternative to online. Lucy’s Place CIC developed its brand identity through its social media presence, website and marketing material to promote the service. It is listed on two counselling and psychology search engines (Psychology Today and Counselling Directory). During the reporting period the CIC has seen and offered successful psychological therapy interventions to eighteen clients. Ten were face to face in the premises in Haddington and eight were online. In addition one psychological therapist and two Clinical Psychologists have been provided monthly clinical supervision to support their professional development. Lucy’s Place CIC are delighted to be developing and expanding the community reach of the organisation throughout 2024/25.
PART 2 – CONSULTATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS – A “stakeholder” is any person or organisation affected by the company’s activities. Please indicate who the company’s stakeholders are; how the stakeholders have been consulted and what action has the company taken in response to feedback from its consultations. If there has been no consultation you must state ‘There has been no stakeholder consultation held’. The ’Core 10’ Psychometric questionnaire is conducted at start and end of therapy. This measure indicated an improvement in patient’s wellbeing scores. Qualitative feedback from clients has also been positive. Below are some patient testimonials from a Lucys Place CIC Psychological Therapy client. “Lucy was of great help to me at a time when I was suffering deeply. While I am still struggling to date, my sessions with Lucy helped me understand where I lot of my suffering stemmed from. I was immensely grateful for how compassionate and non- judgemental Lucy was, and found I always came away from sessions with her feeling more positive.” “Working with Lucy was illuminating. I feel I've learned more about myself throughout the process and that my mental health has improved.” “You really took time to understand the issues I wanted to work through and gave each of them adequate time / space to work through. I feel clearer and stronger than ever on how to keep myself well. I've previously felt therapy has been rushed / unfinished with other services but this wasn't the case at Lucy's Place. I wish I'd found your service sooner!” “Lucy’s treatment helped me through the hardest part of my life and has opened up a healthier, happier future.”
