Notes to the accounts

  1. Average number of employees

During the year the average number of employees was 0 (2024: 0).

  2. Contingent Liabilities Note

In accordance with the UK Government's mandate to adopt MTD for capital gains submissions we have adopted one of the approved software packages. This change has resulted in some classification changes which make our accounts look different to previous years. Specifically pension payments have been classified under staff costs. We also took the opportunity to reduce the loan to the company of unpaid dividends and unpaid Moss Wood rent accruing over the last few years in the Santander Legacy Balance Sheet Account, these are now shown explicitly in the current balance sheet as Martin Snaith's director's loan account. No interest was charged to the company by the director for the loan and all the payments were previously declared in Mr Snaith's personal tax returns. Direct Debit VAT payments for rent to Moss Wood have been moved from the company account to Moss Wood's account this satisfies the request from HMRC to have VAT direct debits paid by an account directly associated with Moss Wood Partnership. To the best of my knowledge these accounts present an accurate financial picture of our current company accounts.
