2. Accounting Policies
Basis of preparing the Financial Statements
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities.
Presentation Currency
The accounts are presented in £ sterling.
Turnover
Turnover represents the amounts receivable from customers for sales of food and drink, net of discretionary service charge - which is offset against staff costs - and net of VAT.

Deferred Tax
Deferred tax arises from timing differences arising from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax computations in different years from those in which they are recognised in the income statement. At 31 March 2025, deferred tax of £21,688 (2024 - £11,933), is included in "other tax and social security" in Note 6.

4. Principal Activity
The company was incorporated in October 2020 with the objective of leasing and operating pubs and restaurants. In February 2022, the company signed a lease to occupy the Baring in Islington, London, which opened to the public as a gastropub in July 2022 after an extensive programme of repair and refurbishment.
