Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 March 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

  • 2. Employees

    2025 2024
    Average number of employees during the period 0 0

    No staff were employed by the company in the accounting period. Company secretarial services and other support services are provided by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council at no charge. The value of these services is considered to be immaterial in both years and no allocation is made to the company.

3. Fixed assets investments note

Until 31 March 1997 the company, by appointment in its memorandum, acted as trustee for the Association of Metropolitan Authorities for the purpose of holding the Association’s property leases. All expenditure, both revenue and capital in nature, incurred by the company in respect of all leases, was borne by the Association of Metropolitan Authorities and therefore no profit or lose arose. From 1 April 1997, following the merger of the Association of Metropolitan Authorities with the other local authority associations to form the Local Government Association, the company holds the leases as trustee for the local authorities which were in membership of the Association of Metropolitan Authorities on 31 March 1997 (‘the Authorities’).
