  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

Turnover represents amounts derived from the provision of goods and services which fall within the company's ordinary activities after deduction of trade discounts and Value Added Tax. The turnover and pre-tax profit, all of which arises in the United Kingdom, is attributable to the provision of conference management services at Hertford College, Oxford.

    Other accounting policies

Going Concern The directors have a reasonable expectation that, due to the nature of the company's activities and the timing of the related cash flows, the company will have adequate resources to enable it to continue its activities for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements as outlined in the Statement of Directors' Responsibilities Financial Instruments The company only has financial assets and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction value and subsequently measured at their settlement value. Critical accounting judgements and key sources of estimation uncertainty Preparation of the financial statements requires management to make judgements and estimates. The directors consider that there are no material judgements in applying accounting policies or key sources of estimation uncertainty.
