Any surplus generated is reinvested to further the company’s community purpose. This report outlines how Heart in the Community Cafe CIC’s activities have benefited the community during the financial year from 1 March 2024 to 28 February 2025 and demonstrates how the company has continued to meet the community interest test. Community Needs Addressed Throughout the reporting period, the company focused on responding to key local needs, including: Reducing social isolation and loneliness. Providing a safe, welcoming space for people of all ages and backgrounds. Improving access to affordable, nutritious food. Supporting individuals facing barriers to employment or volunteering. Strengthening community connections and local partnerships. Summary of Activities 1. Operation of a Community Cafe Heart in the Community Cafe CIC operated as a community hub where local residents could meet, connect, and feel a sense of belonging.
