The trustees, who are also the directors for the purposes of company law, present their report and the unaudited financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2025 .
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in notes to the accounts and comply with the charity's governing document, the Charities Act 2011 and Companies Act 2006 and Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland published in October 2019.

Objectives and activities
From 13 May 2022 the revised objects of the charity are specifically restricted to promoting the relief of illness or suffering by:
- advancing effective care and support for people affected by cancer
- supporting the provision of palliative care, advice and assistance for the benefit of people suffering from terminal cancer and other terminal illnesses
- promoting the provision of a helicopter air ambulance particularly by supporting the cost of medical staff associated with the running of the service
- by such other means as the directors in their absolute discretion may determine whether or not in conjunction with other parties from time to time and mainly but not exclusively within the Waveney constituency
Public Benefit
The Trustees have complied with their duty to take due regard to the guidance published by the Charity Commission on public benefit in their decisions.
Achievements and performance
As and when funds become available the Trustees will make awards and donations in line with the new objectives adopted in 2022. Currently the Trustees cannot determine when this will be.
Financial review
The net expenditure for the year was £210 (2024: net income £183). At the year end, the unrestricted funds of the charity were £358 (2024: £568).
Structure, governance and management
Governing document
The Trevor Cooke Company is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity governed by its Memorandum and Articles of Association dated 18 October 2007 as amended by special resolutions dated 28 March 2008, 29 March 2022 and 13 May 2022.
Recruitment, appointment and training of trustees
Trustees are appointed in accordance with the Articles of Association.
All new trustees will be provided with copies of:
- The Memorandum and Articles of Association of the charity
- The latest financial statements of the charity
In addition, the trustees are encouraged to read Charity Commission and other guidance designed to keep them abreast of their duties and responsibilities.
Risk management
The charity acknowledges the Charity Commission's recommendation for them to undertake a review of the major risks to which the charity is exposed. A review of the risks to which the charity is exposed is undertaken on an ongoing basis.
Organisational structure
The trustees are responsible for the management of the affairs of the charity and are regarded as trustees under the Charities Act 2011 and directors within the meaning of the Companies Act 2006. The present trustees are listed on page 1.
Small company provisions
This report has been prepared taking advantage of the small companies' exemption of section 415A of the Companies Act 2006.

1. General information
The charity is a public benefit entity and a private company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales and a registered charity in England and Wales. The address of the registered office is Grange Farm, Gisleham, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR33 8DP.
2. Statement of compliance
The charity constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland issued in October 2019, the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102), the Charities Act 2011, the Companies Act 2006 and UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice. 3. Accounting policies
(a) Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared on the historical cost basis, as modified by the revaluation of certain financial assets and liabilities and investment properties measured at fair value through income or expenditure.
The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the entity.
(b) Going concern
There are no material uncertainties about the charity's ability to continue.
(c) Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the trustees to further any of the charity's purposes. Designated funds are unrestricted funds earmarked by the trustees for particular future project or commitment. Restricted funds are subjected to restrictions on their expenditure declared by the donor or through the terms of an appeal, and fall into one of two sub-classes: restricted income funds or endowment funds.
(d) Incoming resources
All income is included in the statement of financial activities when entitlement has passed to the charity, it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow to the charity and the amount can be reliably measured. The following specific policy is applied to a particular category of income: - income from donations or grants is recognised when there is evidence of entitlement to the gift, receipt is probable and its amount can be measured reliably.
(e) Resources expended
Expenditure is recognised on an accruals basis as a liability is incurred. Expenditure includes any VAT which cannot be fully recovered, and is classified under headings of the statement of financial activities to which it relates:
- expenditure on charitable activities includes all costs incurred by a charity in undertaking activities that further its charitable aims for the benefit of its beneficiaries, including those support costs and costs relating to the governance of the charity apportioned to charitable activities.
- other expenditure includes all expenditure that is neither related to raising funds for the charity nor part of its expenditure on charitable activities.
4. Limited by guarantee
The company is limited by guarantee whereby the members of the company guarantee the liabilities of the company to the extent of £10 per member.
