COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

SCIPE CIC

Company Number: 08307587 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 March 2025

Company activities and impact

SCIPE CIC is a community engagement organisation whose vision is to engage and involve communities, parents and mixed heritage children in consultation during the planning and delivery of services. Also to shape services that matter to them. To encourage and empower all to participate in meaningful activities, where people are seen as positive assets and are able to make a contribution to meeting their own needs and those of the local community, thus encouraging and supporting community cohesion. It has been another difficult year health wise for one of the Directors plus caring commitments for all with their elderly relatives. This has meant that minimal activities took place in the last year. Notwithstanding, developments, planning and regular meetings continued. Throughout the year SCIPE CIC was represented at the All Party Parliamentary Group ethnicity transplantation donors and transfusion, as well as Board Director/Trustee for the Sickle Cell Society.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders are the general community, including young people & adults. A concerted effort is made to engage and consult with members from Black, Minority Ethnic Groups. Especially members from the local African Caribbean community. The black elderly individuals remain fearful and reluctant to come out of their homes and socialise. This has meant more telephone, one to one and home visits to elicit feedback. The community has requested more events where they can come along, for instance, afternoon tea where they can come along and get involved at their leisure.

Directors' remuneration

No remuneration was received
