Going on Taw Delivery of the professional aspect of Going on Taw - a storytelling and poetry project travelling the length of the River Taw Release of 7 podcasts 7-week exhibition at Museum of Barnstaple an North Devon 5 performances. Place-based / Nature inspired Storytelling performances Libraries Unlimited: to children aged 5 -10 years x 3 Adults x 4 (Devonshire Folktales) Exmoor Festival of Nature x 1 – family South Molton Council / North Devon Biosphere x 1– young people All performances were either offered free or for a very low ticket prices. Highest price £5 Place-based / Nature inspired Creative Writing workshops Burton youth Collective at Burton Art Gallery x 2. 15 young people aged between 15 - 21. Speak-Up programme x 2. SEN pupils 14 – 16 years Brave Spaces (support group for Women who have experienced domestic violence) x 6 Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) Held at RHS Rosemoor once a month from April to September. Future planning Plus marketing company’s services to the wider Northern Devon region. Planning meetings for activities in 25/26. Applied to and selected as part of Library Unlimited Cultural Credit programme.
Going on Taw – on-going consultation with Stakeholders re delivery of professional storytelling performance and installation Stakeholders; Belstone commoners Owner of Fox and Hound Hotel, Eggesford TheatreFest organisers and staff museum staff collaborative artists Stakeholders have been consulted via email, phone and face to face meetings. The project has been shaped in response to stakeholders’ needs and feedback. Libraries Unlimited operated an open call for artists. Individual libraries chose which artist they wanted to work with based on their knowledge of their customers. All organisations; Brave Spaces, Burton Youth Collective, Speak Up, Exmoor Festival of Nature, North Devon Biosphere, South Molton council are all consulted re content and format. CCC is contracted by these organisations to deliver the performances or workshops, who undertake their own evaluation process. Any constructive feedback is passed on from participants to help shape future offerings.
