Gasleak Mountain is an art organisation and event space in Nottingham's city centre. During APE24 we hosted contemporary art exhibitions, educational workshops and audiovisual showcases among other community events. Our projects sought to promote the voices of under-represented artists, makers and thinkers. This includes, but is not limited to, those from working-class backgrounds, gender and sexual minorities, people of colour, young people, and those without a formal art background. Our community has benefited from these events, which were all free of charge, in being welcomed into an explicitly supportive and inclusive space.
Our stakeholders are our local art audience; in particular those who are frequent attendees of our events. While no formal consultation has taken place, the directors engage directly with our community at these events to ensure that we are of continuing benefit. We discuss this feedback at regular meetings between the directors.
