CHANGE IN YOUTH CIC

Company Number: 13977909 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 March 2025

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Change In Youth CIC has delivered a range of programmes that have directly benefited young people and residents across London. Our key activities and their community impact are as follows: Positive ID Programme: We delivered the Positive ID programme across three London boroughs, Hackney, Westminster, and Brent, reaching 60 young people in secondary schools. This programme has contributed to improved job readiness among participants, equipping them with essential skills and confidence for employment. Social Media Preneur Pilot: We curated and piloted an innovative new programme called Social Media Preneur, working with 14 residents from North Paddington. This initiative supports unemployed individuals to become content creators and earn income through their creative work, directly addressing unemployment and providing alternative pathways to employment. Detached Outreach Programme: In partnership with Hackney Council's gangs unit, we delivered a detached outreach programme reaching 100 young people. Through this engagement, we have provided crucial sign-posting to services, supporting vulnerable young people to access appropriate support and interventions. Overall Impact: Across all programmes, we have engaged 174 young people and residents, with a demonstrated outcome of improved job readiness. Our work has strengthened community resilience and provided meaningful pathways for young people and residents facing barriers to employment and social inclusion

Consultation with stakeholders

Stakeholders: The company's primary stakeholders are service users, the young people and residents who participate in our programmes. Consultation Methods: We conducted surveys with programme participants to gather their thoughts, experiences, and feedback regarding our delivery and impact. Feedback Received and Actions Taken: Based on feedback from our consultations, we have taken the following actions: a -Social Media Preneur Programme Refinement: In response to participant feedback, we have refined the Social Media Preneur programme by changing the venue to better serve our participants and improve accessibility. b - Equipment and Resources: We have proactively reached out to external companies to secure IT equipment for Social Media Preneur participants, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their content creation work. These actions demonstrate our commitment to responsive, participant-centred programme delivery and continuous improvement based on stakeholder feedback
