Company activities and impact

During the accounting period, Casa Colombia UK C.I.C. primarily carried out cultural and educational activities aimed at the Colombian and Latin American community residing in the United Kingdom, as well as the wider community. These activities have had a positive impact on the community by: Strengthening cultural identity and a sense of belonging. Encouraging social connection, community unity, and mutual support. Promoting values such as empathy, inclusion, creativity, and critical thinking. Contributing to personal motivation, emotional wellbeing, and social development of participants. Helping to preserve and promote the traditions and customs of Colombian and wider Latin culture. The activities included cultural events, community gatherings, workshops, seminars, and artistic performances. These initiatives created safe and inclusive spaces for participation, learning, and support for people of different ages and social backgrounds. The organisation’s work particularly focuses on reinforcing social cohesion, recognising that strong community ties are essential for keeping cultural traditions alive and supporting social integration within the local environment.

Consultation with stakeholders

The activities of Casa Colombia UK C.I.C. are primarily aimed at: Members of the Colombian and Latin American community residing in the United Kingdom. Families, young people and adults interested in cultural, educational and community-based activities. Members of the wider local community who wish to participate in cultural exchange opportunities. Regarding the locations where activities take place: On certain occasions, the Colombian Consulate has facilitated the use of the consular hall through a verbal agreement, allowing the organisation to carry out activities approximately once per month. Other activities are delivered in public spaces, such as parks or other available community venues. This flexibility in the use of venues enables the organisation to respond to the needs of the community and continue offering activities that are accessible, inclusive and community-focused.
