COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

WE FOR ANIMALS CIC

Company Number: 15590206 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 March 2025

Company activities and impact

WE FOR ANIMALS CIC is a small not-for-profit organisation which helps vulnerable stray animals. Although the directors have been supporting stray animals for nearly a decade out of their own pocket, WE FOR ANIMALS CIC was officially registered as an organisation in March 2024. During the financial year 2024-2024, the organisation’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways: We have provided regular food for dozens of stray dogs so they wouldn’t enter private properties and disturb local residents in search of food; We have provided anti-parasitic treatment for dozens of stray dogs to prevent the spread of disease; We have taken into care extreme medical cases (severely emaciated dogs, dogs with tumours or broken limbs) and provided treatment in order to alleviate their suffering. All dogs we have taken into our care have also been neutered to prevent the further increase in the stray population.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are the residents of the town where we have carried out our work this year – Shtip, North Macedonia. One of the directors, Milka, has lived in this town for most of her life and started helping the stray animals there at a very young age. Milka is heavily involved with the local council there, as well as other NGOs and private individuals in order to drive animal welfare standards across the town and North Macedonia in general. Regular meetings with the stakeholders have established the “problem” areas in town regarding stray dog populations leading to targeted trap=neuter-release campaigns by the local council and support feeding and anti-parasitic treatment by our organisation.
