Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Latina Rising C.I.C. carried out activities aimed at supporting and empowering Latin American founders, particularly those facing barriers to visibility, access to resources, and professional networks in the UK. The company focused on creating accessible, community-led spaces where individuals could connect, share knowledge, and receive support. This included the organisation and facilitation of free, volunteer-led events, such as informal workshops, networking sessions, and community meet-ups. These activities were delivered on a not-for-profit basis to ensure participation was inclusive and open to those who may not be able to afford paid business or professional support. Through these events and initiatives, participants were able to: access practical guidance and peer learning build confidence and professional connections share experiences in a supportive and culturally relevant environment All activities were aligned with the company’s community interest purpose and were supported by volunteers, helping to maximise social impact while keeping costs low. The company’s work contributed to strengthening community ties and improving access to opportunities for Latin American founders during the year.

Consultation with stakeholders

Latina Rising C.I.C.’s stakeholders include members of the Latin American community, entrepreneurs and professionals who engage with the organisation, collaborators and partners, and volunteers who support the delivery of activities. During the financial year, the company carried out a hybrid approach to stakeholder consultation. This included informal consultation through conversations and feedback gathered during community events and activities, as well as more structured input through surveys shared within community groups. Feedback from stakeholders helped inform the design and delivery of activities, ensuring they remained accessible, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of the community. Insights gathered influenced the focus on free, volunteer-led events, opportunities for collaboration, and signposting to relevant resources and networks.
