Chartered Accountant's report to the partners on the preparation of the unaudited statutory accounts of Hidden Spring LLP for the year ended 31 March 2025
In order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006 as applied to limited liability partnerships by the Limited Liability Partnerships (Accounts and Audit) (Application of Companies Act 2006) Regulations 2008, I have prepared for your approval the accounts of Hidden Spring LLP for the year ended 31 March 2025 which comprise the Profit and Loss Account, the Balance Sheet and the related notes from the accounting records and from information and explanations you have given to us.
As a practising member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), we are subject to its ethical and other professional requirements which are detailed at http://www.icaew.com/en/membership/regulations-standards-and-guidance.
This report is made solely to the partners of Hidden Spring LLP, as a body, in accordance with the terms of our engagement letter dated . Our work has been undertaken solely to prepare for your approval the accounts of Hidden Spring LLP and state those matters that we have agreed to state to the partners of Hidden Spring LLP, as a body, in this report in accordance with AAF 2/10 as detailed at ICAEW Technical Release 07/16 AAF. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than Hidden Spring LLP and its partners, as a body, for our work or for this report.
It is your duty to ensure that Hidden Spring LLP has kept adequate accounting records and to prepare statutory accounts that give a true and fair view of the assets, liabilities, financial position and profit or loss of Hidden Spring LLP. You consider that Hidden Spring LLP is exempt from the statutory audit requirement for the year.
We have not been instructed to carry out an audit of the accounts of Hidden Spring LLP. For this reason, we have not verified the accuracy or completeness of the accounting records or information and explanations you have given to us and we do not, therefore, express any opinion on the financial statements.

For the year ending 31 March 2025 the LLP was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 (as applied by the Limited Liability Partnerships (Accounts and Audit) (Application of Companies Act 2006) Regulations 2008 applicable to LLPs subject to the small LLPs regime.)
The members acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act (as applied to LLPs) with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

Notes to the Financial Statements
1. General Information
Hidden Spring LLP is a limited liability partnership, incorporated in England & Wales, registered number OC401517 . The Registered Office is Hidden Spring Vineyard Vines Cross Road, Horam, Heathfield, TN21 0HG.
2. Accounting Policies
2.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with applicable United Kingdom accounting standards, including Financial Reporting Standard 102 for small limited liability partnerships regime - The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102), The Statement of Recommended Practice 'Accounting by Limited Liability Partnerships' issued in December 2021 (SORP) and the Companies Act 2006 (as applied to LLPs).
The financial statements are prepared in sterling which is the functional currency of the LLP.
2.2. Turnover
Turnover represents the amounts recoverable for the sale of wine and associated services net of VAT and trade discounts. 
If, at the balance sheet date, completion of contractual obligations is dependent on external factors (and thus outside the control of the Limited Liability Partnership), then revenues recognised only when the event occurs. In such cases, costs incurred up to the balance sheet date are carried forward as work in progress.
2.3. Tangible Fixed Assets and Depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost of the fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases:
Freehold 2% on straight line
Plant & Machinery 15% on reducing balance
Fixtures & Fittings 15% on reducing balance
Computer Equipment 33.33% on straight line
2.4. Stocks and Work in Progress
Stocks are stated at the lower of cost and estimated selling price less costs to complete and sell. Cost comprises direct materials and, where applicable, direct labour costs and those overheads that have been incurred in bringing the stocks to their present location and condition.
