Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 March 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

Company activities and impact

The services that the enterprise company delivers are very much organisation based with a focus on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. We work with all sectors to improve understanding of diverse communities and highlight the benefits of a inclusive workforce. The training is very much client focussed, and we work with organisation to ensure a bespoke package is developed to ensure the training meets the organisation needs. During the financial year Jan 22 - Dec 2022 the enterprise company delivered services in the following areas: Delivered programme funded by Work Force Equality Fund targeting 10 employers from the private and public sector. With a focus on building capacity with regards to ED&I in the workplace Created a recruitment portal to assist employers to target ethnic minority communities when having recruitment campaigns. We currently have 20 employers who are using the service and we have 200 clients registered on the portal. The service is free to minority ethnic communities across Scotland. Delivered 10 courses on Equality and Diversity targeting public and third sector organisations. The monies that we generate pay for running costs such as staff, heat, light etc and surplus funds support some of the work that is done by CEMVO Scotland which is a registered charity. The impact of the work is that public sector services providers are better informed therefore are better equipped to develop policies and strategies that take into account the needs of minority ethnic communities. Also, through the training we are able to improve understanding of ED&I in the workplace and thus improving work conditions and ensuring that barriers are minimised with regards to promotion, retention and to access to job opportunities.
