Inspiring Positive Futures CIC has secured funding for both our Primary Futures Model from The National Lottery Community Fund and Leeds City Council Communities Team. Our work with young people aged 18-24 has secured a second grant from the Department for Work and Pensions. In addition to this funding, we secured resources from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, which enabled us to conduct a digital survey of young people not in employment, education, or training, in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions. We have successfully delivered weekly skills and crafts sessions in the LS9 area of Leeds to over 60 young people, twice a week, along with career journey work and social action pro-jects. We worked in partnership with Dazl Dance, Leeds City Council Libraries, Meanwood Valley Farm, and Be Inspired. The NEETS Programme, developed by Inspiring Positive Futures, is proving highly success-ful, as we have achieved our targets of helping young people secure employment, education, and training. We have partnered with North Yorkshire Council, NHS York, and the King's Trust Fund. Our young people successfully delivered a Social Environmental Action Project in the Selby Secret Garden. They gained 19 skills, and many also received digital certificates for career-based courses. We now have four paid employees and are planning to secure more work to expand the team. Our founder, Kim Groves, continues to contribute personal investment, which we use to support our not-for-profit CIC.
