During the financial year, Inclusive Bangladesh’s activities delivered measurable benefits to the community in the following ways: Inclusive Bangladesh implemented five Human Rights Advocacy Training programs for 50 youth Human Rights Defenders, strengthening their knowledge, skills, and capacity to advocate effectively for human rights within their communities. The organisation provided human rights training across multiple countries, including the United Kingdom, Bangladesh, Australia, and Nigeria, contributing to cross-border knowledge exchange and building a globally informed network of advocates. Inclusive Bangladesh published its Annual Human Rights Report, which documented key challenges, trends, and recommendations affecting the LGBTIQ+ community, benefiting community members, civil society organisations, and stakeholders through increased awareness and evidence-based advocacy. The organisation participated in community advocacy workshops and meetings, where it contributed structured feedback on the social, mental, and economic wellbeing of LGBTIQ+ people, helping to inform policy discussions, programs, and community responses. Through these combined activities, Inclusive Bangladesh indirectly benefited approximately 5,000 LGBTIQ+ people by strengthening advocacy, improving access to rights-based information, and influencing more inclusive community and policy environments.
Inclusive Bangladesh’s key stakeholders include members of the LGBTIQ+ community in the UK, Bangladesh, and the diaspora, as well as youth human rights defenders, community-based organisations, activists, researchers, and policy stakeholders at national and international levels. Additional stakeholders include trainers, volunteers, partner organisations, and institutions working on human rights and social inclusion. The organisation’s leadership has extensive experience working with marginalised communities and has shaped its program model through ongoing engagement and dialogue with LGBTIQ+ individuals and grassroots human rights defenders. Inclusive Bangladesh gathers feedback through participant evaluations after trainings, workshops, and advocacy activities to identify priority issues and emerging risks affecting the community. It also undertakes informal consultations through meetings, online forums, and one-to-one discussions, which inform program design, advocacy focus, and research outputs, including its annual Human Rights Report. By encouraging continuous feedback from community members, volunteers, and partners through open communication channels, Inclusive Bangladesh ensures its activities remain relevant, inclusive, and responsive to community needs.
