We grew organic vegetables, fruit and herbs in Cotesbach Hall walled garden, harvesting roughly 500kg of produce which was sold mainly on site to the Yard Cafe and catering for events. During the financial year 2024-25, the CIC activities benefited the community in the following ways: - Continuing to provide a source of local seasonal produce, a good value, high quality carbon friendly alternative to bought in produce. Including supplies of produce for community and social events on site, led by the Cotesbach Educational Trust (charity no 1126940). - Creating volunteer and educational opportunities, eg fruit tree pruning workshops, volunteer opportunities, providing the location for a Wassail and raising awarenedd of the health and well-being benefits of organic growing. - Extending opportunities and reaching a wider audience through close links with Cotesbach Family Trust, other stakeholders on the Estate, and with CET, so as to provide a safe and accessible resource for welcoming visitors, whether organised groups such as foraging walks, or visitors for national events: Open Farm Sunday, Heritage Open Days and Apple Day. - Supplying produce/catering for groups at CET, events and visitors who hire spaces for social and business meetings.
