Relating to this financial year Creative Sewing with Jojo purchased 4 sewing machines fabrics and notions with 2 donations delivered 2x5 weeks courses to 14 learners at The Hub Lockleaze Bristol . The beneficial aspects to the the learners who attended these sessions were highly successful. Learners were given the opportunity to use a machine developing new skills that produced a range of items that included Bags Aprons and Oven gloves. For all the learners who attended this was a very empowering experience .
I approached The Hub Community Space in Lockleaze Bristol with a wish to deliver sewing sessions to their clients with funding received I from Quartet . The Hub was was appreciative of the sessions outcomes and the favourable feedback from learners who attended. A favourable testimonial from The Hub has enabled me to apply for more funding to deliver future sewing sessions for the community organisation to empower and enrich this underrepresented community of Lockleaze Bristol .
