The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 March 2025

Principal activities of the company

The company's principal activity during the year continued to be provision of sports and recreation education, activities of sport clubs, and other sports activities.The company is registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC) in the United Kingdom and carries out its activities for the benefit of the community.

Additional information

The directors are responsible for preparing the report and accounts in accordance with applicable law and regulations.Company law requires the directors to prepare accounts for each financial year. Under that law, the directors have elected to prepare the accounts in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law). Under company law the directors must not approve the accounts unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company and of the profit or loss of the company for that period. In preparing these accounts, the directors are required to: - select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently; - make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; - prepare the accounts on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the company will continue in business. The directors are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the company's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company and enable them to ensure that the accounts comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable for goods supplied and services provided in the ordinary course of the company’s activities, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. Turnover includes income generated from community-focused activities and ancillary trading activities, including the sale of goods, and is recognised when the related goods or services have been transferred to the customer in accordance with the terms of the transaction.

    Other accounting policies

    Company limited by guarantee The company is limited by guarantee and has no share capital and every member of the company undertakes to contribute to the assets of the company, in the event of a winding up, such an amount as may be required not exceeding £1.

We have enhanced the local community by promoting physical activity for all ages and ability. We have promoted health, inclusivity and social cohesion. Improved mental and physical wellbeing. Brings people together through matches, events and volunteering opportunities. Equip young players with essential skills like teamwork and discipline, while providing a platform for emerging talent. Stretford Paddock stands as a cornerstone of community enrichment, driving social, economic and personal development.

Consultation with stakeholders

We hold regular meetings with the committee to discuss the progress and pressing issues. As we are owned by our members we consult with them, ask for feedback and hold a vote on the direction of the club and its intensions. All actions taken is based on the majority vote for the betterment of the members and community.
